California Dreaming

Enter the playground of sun & fog

All the microclimates, food from around the world, and beautiful roads & trails to weave it together.

The unique play of light

It’s the riders who come here from around the world who convince us. There are an awesome number of amazing places to ride and at the same time there are almost none that offer this diversity of ecological and geographic areas so densely packed together. The marine layer from the Pacific and the pattern of where the fog penetrates the bay area create conditions that vary widely from hour to hour. It is the dance of sun & fog, the varied terrain and views, the delicious food stops that make the area endlessly entertaining to cyclists.

Road, gravel or mtb?

The Bay Area is a dream for cyclists because every style of riding finds a perfect home. Mountain bikers can dive into redwood forests, coastal bluffs, and technical singletrack with endless variety and year round access. Gravel riders connect quiet fire roads, ranch land, and hidden valleys, stitching together wild landscapes just minutes from cities. Road cyclists glide along ocean cliffs, rolling vineyards, and sunlit climbs with views that stretch forever. The climate invites riding in every season, and the terrain rewards curiosity. From foggy mornings to golden afternoons, every ride feels like an adventure. It never gets old. Ever.
