Mendocino Coast
May 17-19, 2024
3 days of lush redwoods and coastal views with good food at an epic oceanside home. Comptche loop. Philo-Greenwood. Mountain View. And miles of Route 1 along the coast.
Stay right on the ocean near Elk at a modern home with sweeping Pacific views, and a hot tub on the deck. We’ll ride 3 loops that each highlight a different section of the coastline and adjacent climbs and enjoy three-course dinners in the evening featuring local Anderson-valley wineries and breweries.
On Friday we’ll enjoy the Comptche loop from Navarro to visit the Mendocino bluff and return via the Navarro redwood grove. On Saturday we’ll tackle the climb over the hills to Boonville for a snack stop and a return with a different taste of the Mendocino coastline. Finally on Sunday we’ll enjoy a shorter day on the Sonoma Coast with a late lunch in Jenner before returning home.

Hugh Rodman has been cycling throughout his life, although it took decades to realize that it was way more fun to do with other people. One of the few things he's won in this short life was a cooking competition.
