Auburn Endurance & Recovery Camp
| Trail Running & Hiking | MTB & Gravel | Yoga & Sports Nutrition
We’ll be trail runners and cyclists enjoying our favorite sports over three days, balancing outdoor adventures with an equal focus on yoga, meditation, and fueling for recovery and growth.
We’ll stay in several homey Airbnbs in Auburn with its relaxed outdoorsy vibe, good food & singletrack trails right from town. The large Creekside home will be our center for yoga sessions, pool plunges in the backyard, and dinners together.
We’ll explore the best of the local trails. Auburn is perched next to a vast network that traverses the canyons, forests and wildflower fields across the foothills. Over the weekend, we’ll visit three different areas across the region. We survey the group in advance and design trail routes based on interests, pace and training needs. You can decide what you need each day.
We’ll enjoy delicious food designed for recovery and delight. We’ll review recent science about what works best for endurance athletes and share strategies for efficient meal preparation for busy people! We’ll be reviewing and aligning our meals with current sports nutrition research with help from our friend Jessica Chon (RD,CSSD)!

Trip Leaders
Maureen brings a thoughtful, embodied approach to trail running and yoga, blending strength, mobility and rest into a cohesive practice. Her teaching invites athletes to move with curiosity and self-trust — going big when it’s time, and recovering deeply enough to keep going. Often muddy and tired, she moves between California’s coastal trails and the high mountains of the French Alps, with recovery always part of the practice.
Hugh Rodman has been cycling throughout his life, although it took decades to realize that it was way more fun to do with other people. He enjoys balancing a love of new foods with managing consistent recovery from high-volume endurance weeks. One of the few things he's won in this short life was a cooking competition. And he loves trying to get better at asking useful questions!
Jessica Chon became a sports dietitian (RD, CSSD) after learning the hard way that chronic underfueling and overtraining leads to injury and poor performance. Now she’s on a mission to help athletes fuel smarter through evidence-based sports nutrition — while building genuine stoke around food, performance, and how powerfully they can complement each other.
